Jamie Carragher admitted he was to blame for conceding the third goal that consigned Liverpool to defeat at Old Trafford.
Liverpool had seemingly completed an improbable comeback from 2-0 down against Manchester United before Dimitar Berbatov outjumped Carragher to score and seal the game for the Red Devils.
In comments quoted by The Sun, the central defender said:"To come back from 2-0 was a fantastic
effort.
"I thought we did well for the 90 minutes. We were not really asked too many questions.
"If you look at the goals they scored, Pepe Reina hasn't had a lot to do.
"It's a funny situation. Last week, we were not happy with the performance at Birmingham but got a point. Now we're happy enough and have come away with nothing.
"We've not started great in terms of results but a few wins and everything will look different. We just have to keep believing."
Liverpool next host Sunderland on Saturday.
