Benitez: We suffered quite a bit
Inter Milan coach Rafa Benitez admitted his side found it difficult during their 2-2 draw at FC Twente in the Champions League.
Benitez told Sky Sport Italia: "I think the team is improving.""It was a difficult match in the first half but we saw some improvements in the second half and we did well.
"Twente are a tough team, they created problems for us at times but the boys managed to do well. They have three or four very tall players and it wasn't easy, and they also have intensity. We suffered a bit."
Things were looking rosy for Inter when they took the lead through Wesley Sneijder but the home side quickly equalised with Theo Janssen smashing an effort from 20 yards out.
The reigning champions then went behind after an inswinging corner from Janssen was somehow headed by Inter's Argentinian forward Diego Milito into his own goal.
Samuel Eto'o drew things level once more when he struck just before half-time for the Italians.
After the match, Benitez refused to criticise Milito.
"I'm very pleased with Milito. He did well. He did the job I asked him to do," he said.
Inter next play German side Werder Bremen in this competition in a fortnight.
