The Football Association have formally complained to FIFA after an angry England fan barged his way into the Three Lions' dressing room and confronted David Beckham in Cape Town on Friday.

England were booed off following their 0-0 draw with Algeria at the Green Point Stadium that leaves their World Cup hopes hanging by a thread.

And one supporter was so angry he took direct action and evaded security to remonstrate with the former skipper, who has been a constant presence since England's arrival in South Africa.

The intruder was eventually hustled away but the England squad were unnerved by the incident which came at the end of an awful evening.

Having brought their own security people with them to South Africa, the incident was particularly worrying because both Prince William and Prince Harry who have been on a tour of southern Africa had been present in the dressing room although thankfully both had left before the security breach.

And the FA are in no doubt where the responsibility lay.

"A fan got in past FIFA security," said an FA spokesman.

"We have formerly complained to FIFA after the game and will follow it up in writing

"This is not acceptable and thankfully no serious harm was done."

With in excess of 25,000 supporters travelling to witness the team's dismal performances so far, the FA will want to ensure security is watertight when England head to Port Elizabeth for Wednesday's do-or-die encounter with Slovenia.

If England win, they will book a place in the last sixteen.

Anything less and the Three Lions will almost certainly be booking an early flight home, which is bound to lead to more frustration and calls for manager Fabio Capello to resign.

After having the all star player on a game but the result is same soo we have to think carrer about the player of england.Capello should change the player to book place at the round 16.Its do & die match for england and for Ronney and Gerrad who lead the england.
