NBA: Magical Howard dazzles WizardsDwight Howard led the Orlando Magic to a thrilling 100-99 victory over the Washington Wizards with a haul of 32 points and 11 rebounds.
Howard made the jump bank shot with four seconds remaining which secured the game for the Magic who won a third straight game, while Gilbert Arenas finished on the beaten side despite a 31-point effort. He missed a last-gasp jump shot.
Derrick Rose scored 30 points as the Chicago Bulls came from behind to defeat the Sacramento Kings 96-85, with team-mate Luol Deng weighing in with 22 points and nine rebounds.
The Miami Heat were back to losing ways, after their win over Philadelphia 24 hours earlier, as they slumped 106-95 to the Dallas Mavericks who stretched their run of victories to five. Caron Butler scored a team-high 23 points, with Dirk Nowitzki supporting with 22 points.
At Madison Square Garden, the New York Knicks' winning streak came to an end at five games as they lost 99-90 to the Atlanta Hawks, for whom Jamal Crawford scored a team-high 21 points.
Brandon Jennings played a starring role with 32 points as the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Charlotte Bobcats 104-101, while the the Philadelphia 76ers, bottom of the Eastern Conference, were too strong for the team directly above them as they beat the New Jersey Nets 102-86.
Dorell Wright's 30-point game included nine three-pointers for the small forward - a team record - as it helped the Golden State Warriors overcome the Minnesota Timberwolves 104-94, while Mo Williams scored 25 points for the Cleveland Cavaliers in their home-court 92-86 win against the Memphis Grizzlies
