NBA veteran Allen Iverson is weighing up a move to play in China, according to reports from the US.
Iverson's second stint with the Philadelphia 76ers ended prematurely after he took a leave of absence in March because of family issues.
The four-time scoring champion, who led the 76ers to the NBA Finals back in 2001, has not been approached by any NBA team about his playing future. NBA training camps open in less than two weeks.
Iverson's personal manager Gary Moore has been quoted as confirming "legitimate interest'' between the player and a team in China to work out a deal.
No further details were available.
He would become the second high profile former NBA star to join the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) in recent months following Stephon Marbury's deal with Shanxi Zhongyu.
Iverson remains a popular figure amongst NBA fans and was voted an Eastern Conference All-Star starter last season
